Quien conoce Sierra Leona, conoce su gente y en especial a los niños y jóvenes de este maravilloso país. Niños que llevan agua desde el pozo a casa, que caminan una hora para llegar a la escuela, que siembran y cultivan, que ríen en cada esquina, que lavan la ropa de casa y planchan sus impecables camisas blancas. Generaciones de niños alegres que con sus sonrisas te hacen olvidar la vida tan dura que tienen desde que nacen, su lucha por la supervivencia y quizá, también, tengan hueco para soñar con el futuro que les gustaría y quizá nunca tengan la oportunidad de intentar.
Whoever knows Sierra Leone, knows its people and especially the children and youth of this wonderful country. Children who carry water from the well to their homes, who walk an hour to get to school, who sow and cultivate, who laugh at every corner, who wash their clothes at home and iron their impeccable white shirts. Generations of happy children who with their smiles make you forget the hard life they have since they are born, their struggle for survival and maybe they, also, have room to dream about the future they would like and maybe they will never have the chance to try.
